Helmut with a hero! Jesse Lester McReynolds (July 9, 1929 – June 23, 2023) was an American bluegrass musician. He was best known for his innovative crosspicking and split-string styles of mandolin playing.

Helmut was a member of a leading Country Rock band in the 2000s in Germany, CRIPPLE CREEK and also with the acoustic trio Just Country Lite.
